Water Resistant Connectors


Electronic equipment that is used in harsh outdoor or indoor environments, require connectors that can withstand moisture, dust and other elements that cause connectors to fail. CONEC has developed the new water resistant connector system. This new series includes the standard configuration, high density, combination family and filtered for water resistant connector applications. The water resistant connector features can also be added to other families in the CONEC product lines. The water resistant connectors meet IEC 529 -IP67 Specifications. This series of water-resistant connectors can be successfully applied in applications where moisture, high humidity, water and dust are present. CONEC applies special sealing procedures to seal the connectors.

The complete program is UL and CSA  approved.

Water Resistant Connector System Details as follows:

  • Plastic or die cast frame with O-Ring for panel to connector sealing
  • Internal sealing to prevent water leaking through the connector
  • Available in front or rear panel mounting
  • Frameless connectors usable for cable assembly
  • Metal shells of various finishes are available
  • Mounting thread size: UNC 4-40 or M 3
  • Plastic is UL 94 VO rated
  • Precision screw machine contacts, high reliability, gold plated (several plating options are available)
  • Gold finishes in accordance with DIN 41652 or as required by customer.
  • Basic connector dimensions - without frame - in accordance with DIN 41652/ MIL-C-24308
  • Available for the Standard D-Subminiature and for High Density from 9 - 78 positions and for the Combination D-Subminiature series
  • Complete range of EMI/RFI filter connectors are available
  • All termination styles are available
  • Various accessories including water resistant hoods and sealing caps
