New back shells for 2W2 and 3W3 Combination D-SUB connectors

CONEC has developed two new types of back shells especially for 2W2 and 3W3 Combination D-SUB connectors.

These back shelle are designed for connectors with assembled single isolated wires. The wires do not need to be formed in a special way but are simply guided out of the back shell.
The wires are secured and strain relief is achieved with an insertable plastic insert.

The plastic insert that is used for strain relief is available for different wire sizes and will hold in position while the back shell halves are assembled. For both back shell sizes different types are available for wire sizes from AWG 20 to AWG 8.

To assemble two 65A contacts, installed into a 3W3 connector, into the back shell, a variant with two wire exits for AWG 6 is available.
The back shells are supplied with metal jack screws with integrated cross recess and UNC 4-40 thread.

The back shell is manufactured with grey, glass filled polyamide, UL94 V0 rated.

The complete back shells are RoHS compliant and UL listed.
