Modern data communication requires fast, efficient and, of course, secure networks. These requirements must be addressed in order to be able to keep pace with the continuously increasing demands of data communication. Data can be communicated with fibre optic connectors via a glass fibre, which is embedded in the connector in a high-precision ceramic ferrule. More and more data connectors, which are used originally in the field of office communication, move into the field of industrial applications. These applications require higher demands for protection against dust and water. CONEC offers a variety of fiber optic connectors with IP 67 protected housings.
Fiber Optic Connectors
We supply all commercial and commonly used systems in the optic fiber connectors sector, such as LC, SC, FC and ST as single mode and multi-mode models. The SC and LC versions can be converted from a simplex into a duplex connector via a carrier housing. This is advantageous in that the offthe- shelf models are restricted to the simplex version and only the carrier housing needs to be ordered. Different coloured boots and appropriate crimp sleeves are available for the connectors, depending on the optic fiber cable diameter.
Fiber Optic Adapters
CONEC supplies the corresponding adapter for the precise connection of the fiber optic connector in a simplex and duplex construction. We offer precision casings in phosphor bronze or ceramic finishes according to the respective requirements or connector configuration. It is not unlikely that different systems/connectors will be installed at the end of the transmission network. In order to avoid having to install any new connectors here, the hybrid adapters supplied by CONEC can provide a solution.
IP67 Fiber Optic LC-Duplex System
for harsh environments
CONEC has developed a quick-connect solution that is ODVA compliant and can address both outdoor and indoor harsh environment applications.
This newly designed system is based on a housing with the bayonet locking coupling mechanism which contains a LC-Duplex connector for the plug version and a mating LC-Duplex adapter housing. Both single and multi-mode versions are available. The housings are available in plastic, metalized-plastic and a die cast version that offers further protection against harsh environment applications.
